Wakatake Matcha - Iced Tea or Latte Grade

Matcha is a special type of Japanese green tea: a precious, jewel-green powder stone ground from shaded, high-grade Japanese tea leaves. It is traditionally whisked with hot water in a bowl to make a rich, creamy drink.Marukyu-Koyamaen first began production 350 years ago in Ogata, Uji. Use this culinary or ingredient grade for preparing iced matcha: in a cocktail shaker or large jar, add 2-3 g sifted Matcha Wakatake over 4 oz (1/2 cup) ice cubes. Pour in 8 oz (1 cup) cold water, cover, and shake vigorously; strain and serve over ice. Wakatake is also great for baking, in smoothies or blending with milk for lattes.
