Description Kenalog in Orabase is a therapeutic dental paste used for the treatment of painful mouth ulcers. It contains triamcinolone acetonide, a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, and discomfort associated with mouth sores. The adhesive Orabase formulation allows the medication to remain in contact with the affected area, forming a protective barrier and ensuring prolonged relief. Ingredients Active Ingredient (per gram): Triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg (0.1%) Other Ingredients: Gelatin Pectin Carboxymethylcellulose sodium Heavy mineral oil Other base components forming a dental paste Usage Apply a small amount (about 6 mm strip) directly onto the affected area 2 to 3 times daily, preferably after meals and at bedtime. Do not rub in. Gently press in place to allow the paste to adhere and form a protective barrier. Do not use for longer than 7 days unless advised by a healthcare professional. Warnings For oral use only – do not swallow large amounts. Avoid contact with eyes. Not recommended for use in children under 5 years without medical advice.
