It is also a typical example of fibrous protein. This interesting asset brings strength, volume and shine to lashes. It strengthens the structure of hair, eyelashes and nails. By "sheathing" eyelashes with keratin, they become softer & smoother.  Keratin is absorbed in the hair area to constitute a protective wall preventing eyelashes from suffering from humidity. This wall straightens and flattens eyelashes, making them shiny.
