Here's the process for the first wash and prep and whenever it looks like your Cast Iron Dutch Oven needs it: Wash: Use dish soap and rinse well. Dry: Thoroughly dry with a tea towel. No drip drying. Warm: Place on low heat until completely dry. 160°C in the oven for 10mins will do the trick. Oil: Apply a neutral oil with a dry cloth and place in the oven at 200°C for half an hour, then let cool.  Done: After cooling in the oven it's ready to be stored away, patiently waiting for it's next use.
