Bloc Two-Tone Onyx Coffee Table: Green & Pink

The Bloc is a two-tone onyx coffee table a large rectangular green onyx block with a smaller pink onyx block set offset on top, fixed together as a single piece. The two stones sit at different heights, creating a stepped, sculptural profile that reads as much as an object as it does a table. Onyx is one of the few natural stones that is genuinely translucent. Light passes through it you can see this along the edges of both blocks where the stone glows rather than simply reflecting. The green onyx has soft sage and honey tones with flowing, cloud-like banding. The pink is warmer and more delicate, with a blush tone that shifts depending on the light in the room. Together they create a combination that is difficult to find anywhere else in natural stone furniture. At 1200mm long and 280mm high the Bloc sits low closer to a plinth than a conventional coffee table. It works as a centrepiece in a living room, as a display surface in an entrance, or as a standalone sculptural object in a larger space.
