TCB Jeans Late S40's Denim Jacket

TCB is a Japanese brand inspired by fits and materials from the past and they strive to reproduce those iconic garments as closely as possible. This Late S40's Denim Jacket is inspired by vintage denim jackets made in the during the 1940's. This version has a shorter & wider fit than the normal S40 jacket and we love it. Are you wearing higher waist pants or do you want a boxier more contemporary fit, then this jacket will please you.As the war progressed, the US government had imposed strict restriction on the materials that the manufactures and factories used for their denim jackets. The number of front button was reduced to 4 pcs from 5. Their original embossed metal button was replaced by the commonly used laurel leaf button. The pocket flap was removed. Rough sewing and trimming prove that the jackets had to be completed hastily by unskilled sewers during the war. These changes, however, are now regarded as unique, distinctive and even charming details seen only on this war time garments, the beauty in the imperfections.The detail with a seam on the center of the back is known as "T-Back". This is because the denim fabric width was not wide enough for back panel, so it had to be sewn together, a neat detail find on vintage denim jackets. Note, size 38 is not a T-back, meaning that the back panel is one solid piece.TCB produces their garments in their own factory. TCB's combination of great knowledge when it comes to vintage garments and a collection of old vintage machines makes this pair of jeans great in every detail. The jacket is pre-washed so it wont shrink when worn. You can expect it to expand slightly when you wear it.
