Unglazed to show off the subtle iron flecks mixed into the porcelain, this plate has a smooth matte texture and neutral tone that complements a wide range of dishes. Also available in a dinner plate. Part of the Alongu Collection. Alongu is a new ceramics line designed by Jin Kuramoto and produced in Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, one of the centers of porcelain production in Japan. The collection features plates, bowls, and other vessels with carefully considered forms, referencing modern Asian tableware while accommodating a range of culinary styles. Community-centred approaches to manufacturing and farming in Hasami were another source of inspiration for the brand, which is committed to reducing waste throughout the production cycle.
