Remove the aviation microphone, and the Ascent functions as a wireless noise-canceling headset for music, calls, and everyday use. What happens if the battery dies in flight? With the microphone attached, the aviation audio circuit continues to function. Active noise canceling and Bluetooth features will be disabled until the battery is recharged. Does Bluetooth auto-pause when ATC speaks? No. The Ascent uses pilot-controlled pause so you decide when Bluetooth audio plays or stops.
