Tokugawa Ieyasu had a deep affection for the tea prepared by the mother of the first generation of the Kanbayashi family, fondly calling it Babacha ("Grandmother's tea"). In recognition of her skills, he gifted her a tea garden in Wakamori, and the tea harvested there was named Babamukashi. This prestigious name is reserved exclusively for the Kanbayashi family. The fresh matcha powder exudes a sweet, dessert-like aroma with a hint of vanilla, promising a delicate and indulgent tea experience.
