Catskills Open Space Retreat Camp + Ride This 3 day retreat takes place on a beautiful Catskills farm with over 300 acres of trails to explore! Reach out to us for Airbnb options! Spend each day with horses and living the farm life! This ride is open to all levels of riders with both english and western tack available and each ride will be split into a beginner and an advanced group for rides while everyone will do social activities together! The beginner group can expect long walks on the stunning trails, a chance to enjoy safe and quiet horses in open space! Your expert guide will take you on an adventure through the woods and open fields that surround this remarkable property.  The advanced group, depending on rider levels, will lead you on a trail ride that will include trotting and cantering with the possibility of some small jumps on their entry level cross country jump course!SCHEDULEFriday4pm- Arrive to the farm to drop off your bags, meet the staff and take a tour of the farm5pm- Sunset trail ride and evaluations6:30pm- BBQ dinner and beer, relax on the porch while watching the horses graze, finish the day around the campfire Saturday7am (optional)- Help feed the horses! 8:30am- Breakfast and brief for the day9:30am- Help to groom the horses for the day10:30am- Tips for in the saddle and head off for a morning trail ride12pm- Lunch in town, enjoy an afternoon lunch on the deck at Benji and Jakes overlooking the lake! (cost not included)3pm- Evening trail ride *Night Time: Explore the area- attend a show at Bethel Woods, visit one of the popular neighboring towns like Narrowsburg, Callicoon for dinner (cost not included) Sunday7am (optional)- Help feed the horses! 8:30am- Breakfast and brief for the day9:30am- Help to groom the horses for the day10:30am- Final trail ride and departureTHE HORSESThese horses are made for the trail! They spend most of their time taking riders of all levels out on trail in both Western and English tack. LEVELLevel 1+.
