2025 'My Fruit Trees' Red Wine Blend by @carmeninthegarden

This playful wine is an unconventional blend crafted by Carmen “@CarmenintheGarden” Perr and her thriving at-home garden. This vibrant wine, made of grapes sourced from across California’s Central Coast, is comprised of  30% Gewürztraminer, 20% Pinot Gris, 20% Pinot Noir, 10% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Viognier, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.  Made using a mix of carbonic maceration, skin contact, and co-fermentation, the wine is fermented with native yeasts, aged briefly in neutral oak and stainless steel, and bottled unfined, unfiltered, with minimal sulfites to preserve its naturally expressive character. Hazy and blood orange in color, the wine bursts with aromas of watermelon, candied peach, red licorice, lime zest, orange peel, dried strawberry, and fresh rosemary. The palate is bright, dry, and energetic, showing flavors of wild strawberry, pomegranate, blood orange pith, fresh ginger, and chamomile tea, all carried by vivid acidity through a clean, refreshing finish.
