On the Island, Aran patterns were passed down through families with pride. Inis Meáin's signature Patented Aran pattern has the distinction of being held in the collection of the National Museum of Ireland. Unique to Inis Meáin, the intricate composition of this fine cable knit pattern is reminiscent of the strong twists of the Island fishing ropes. Eminently versatile with a beautiful drape, this superbly soft baby alpaca and silk cardigan is best worn casually open, to create a refined casual look or add further elegance to a simple black dress. Crafted from Baby Alpaca and Silk made to the highest environmental standards using only organic and premium quality dyes. Newly available in Cream, the ultimately versatile winter colour that gives most definition to the intricate Aran patterns. Also available in Brown Mix, a fresh mélange of warm grey and medium brown, and soft, duck-egg Blue. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
