Before every Kentucky Nectar batch release, our team selects one exceptional single barrel. Founder's Pick #3 is that barrel from our Fall 2025 batch. Everyone says it’s hard to have a favorite child. They’re wrong. Founder’s Pick 3 is the most legendary Kentucky Nectar single barrel we’ve done to date. It’s the same base—our coveted double-barreled, honey-finished wheated Kentucky straight bourbon—but Founders Pick 3 was rebarreled in the spring and rode out the extremely hot summer in our rickhouse. Nose: Cinnamon graham crackers, honey, vanilla ice cream, orange candy. Nostalgic and sweet, grounded by toasted oak. Palate: Soft and mellow, with enough oomph to give you a light Kentucky hug. The mouthfeel is syrupy without being saccharine. It’s the perfect balance between the wheated whiskey—giving cherry pie vibes—the honey barrel, and oak spice. It slides down dangerously easily. Finish: Medium length that starts with baking spices, and transitions into strawberry candy with a dusting of cinnamon.
