Please advise us upon order if you are using either of these engines. We do still however recommend your builder verifies the balance. This means our adapter is only 1.375" thick. Made from 6061-T6 aluminum to ensure the plate will take the abuse of daily driving if you so choose. Our Crank adapter is made of precision 1018 Carbon steel as opposed to others who use the cheaper A36. This ensures strength, longevity and accuracy without needing to worry about deformation in an extreme application. This adapter will accept a SBF (truck bellhousing) or Modular automatic transmissions giving you a lot of options to make your vehicle as comfortable as possible. You have and old AOD transmission that doesn't need a computer, Great! Or maybe you got ahold of a 6R80 from a F150 or Mustang V8 that will work too. We also offer packages with a US Shift transmission Computer. This is needed if you're planning on using a more modern 4 or 6 speed transmission.
