Wooden Salad Server - Black Walnut

These wooden salad servers were inspired by the elegant, minimal designs of mid-century tableware. This special spoon is hand-carved of sustainably harvested Black Walnut wood by craftsman and woodworker Matija Rižner in Northeastern Slovenia. Matija started handcrafting spoons, cutting boards and other kitchenware in 2012 and went on to formally study woodworking and design. He uses smooth organic lines inspired by nature's forms to carve locally grown fruit woods. His workshop overlooks the Drava River and the green hills of the Pohorje Massif.
