Containing almost 15 percent vanadium, its unique alloy composition creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates to breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco’s limited-edition CPM 15V knives are further enhanced by a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by acclaimed custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Sprint Run expression of the Manix 2 Lightweight faithfully includes all the signature elements of this design, including a high-strength Ball Bearing Lock™ mechanism and a reversible tip-up wire pocket clip. To clearly distinguish it as a member of our CPM 15V family, its FRCP (fiberglass-reinforced co-polymer) handle is injection molded in a distinctive brown color and Shawn Houston’s “Triple B” logo is laser engraved on the reverse side of the full-flat-ground blade.
