In 2019, a new sports watch case inspired by the lion arrived in the company’s Sport collection. Its sharp angles connecting flat surfaces proved a perfect canvas for the expression of Zaratsu polishing and contrasting hairline finishing. However, until this year, this formidable design was reserved for limited editions. The new SBGA481 “Tokyo Lion” is the first time-and-date watch featuring this case design to join the regular collection. With a Spring Drive movement that is resistant to shocks and 200 meters of water resistance, and a high-intensity titanium case and bracelet designed for everyday wear, SBGA481 doesn’t just look fierce, it’s also a serious sports watch that lives up to the high standards of Grand Seiko.
