Eskapa - Burnished Marbled Burgundy Patina - GMTO

Welcome to our July patina GMTO with Chris Dillon of American Patina, an old friend and patina partner. Years ago, we did a few patina collaborations with Chris; they were the first of our collabs to launch the idea of patina for J.FitzPatrick in the US, as we had previously explored patina with Dandy Shoe Care when we were based in the UK -- You can see that patina has long been a part of the J.FitzPatrick ethos! Then Chris introduced us to patina artist Greg Park, a.k.a. Hancore, and asked us to give Greg a try. We loved that generosity about Chris: He is a great guy who has always supported us, and now we are back again doing a collab with him!  We have a few more models in the works, but wanted to start with these lovely burgundy burnished renditions of our Eskapa and Montlake models. Burgundy is one of the most underrated colors, yet it is so striking when worn and always achieves compliments from onlookers. Don't trust us? Grab a pair for yourself and see!  This "Eskapa" loafer is a French-inspired design, intended to be sleek and elegant. To that end, it is most frequently seen on our elongated, soft-chisel "LPB" last -- but a smart-round last option is available for this GMTO if you prefer a softer silhouette. Playful calfskin tassels and a hand-stitched front "apron" detail round out the elegant-but-fun effect of the Eskapa loafer, all of course finished with the hand-created patina.
