Paphiopedilum Vanguard

Paph. Vanguard  is a hybrid whose parentage includes Paph. glaucophyllum crossed with Paph. rothschildianum. It is considered a "primary hybrid" because it is a cross between two species.  Grown in a 3"-4" pot with a 12" leaf span. Paphiopedilums are semi-terrestrial orchids typically found growing on the forest floor in rich humus. The genus is native to Southeast Asia, southern China and the Indian subcontinent. Currently available in blooming size only.
