Inspired by the sacred ceremonial drinks of Mesoamerica, Feather & Flame unites the wild fermentation of pulque with the spiced chocolaty depth of xocoatl. Back on the Farm, we recreated these ancient flavors in a pulque curado de cacao, infused with cacao nibs and dried chilis, then used it to season barrels before finishing our Straight Rye in this world’s-first expression. The result? Aztec flavors forged in the fires of creation. The first pour opens with dark chocolate and orange zest, gives way to bright citrus, oak, and cocoa on the palate, and finishes with a touch of chili heat and fresh herbs.
