Geum looks dainty but is tough as nails. It blooms in spring, often overlapping field grown tulips, when so little is blooming. They come in an ever increasing range of colors and their frilly little flowers grow on thin but sturdy stems, making them a breeze to design with. They tend to re-flower if you keep cutting them. Height is provided as a guideline, not a guarantee. They can take a couple of years to reach full height. Scarlet Tempest 18-20". Runner-up at Chelsea 2016 Plant of the Year. This was bred for large flowers and a long flowering period. Large fiery-scarlet flowers are washed in orange for a dynamic color blend. First blooms from April into summer and again from late summer into autumn. Fertile soil in sun or part shade. Hardy in at least zones 4-8 All royalties are included in the price.
