Made in the USA with Polartec® Alpha® Direct, this sweater is purpose built for stop-and-go efforts, like bike riding, where you need to dump heat quickly. The lofted fibers sit on a super breathable mesh core, keeping you warm without weighing you down. It is also 50% lighter and more compressible than traditional fleece. Weight weenies, read that again. Originally adopted by thru-hikers, Alpha Direct is so lightweight it almost feels like magic. Unlike traditional fleece, it releases excess heat while you ride and traps warmth when you stop. Technical fabrics work hard, but they appreciate a little care in return.
